Uwe Steiner

Uwe Steiner is one of the most accomplished dressage riders and trainers currently working in the United States. Uwe was born in Germany where he began his training with Herr Egon von Neindorff. On the way to earning his Bereiter-FN, he also worked with world renowned trainers and Olympians George Truxle, Herbert Rehbein, and George Theodorescu.
His career in the United States began in 1971, when he began competing here. For twenty-one years he raised the bar of American dressage, teaming up with horses he had trained himself to demonstrate the importance of correct basics and a consistent training program in producing phenomenal performances.
Since retiring from competition in 1992, Uwe has devoted himself full-time to teaching. He has worked with a number of international riders and horses. He spends the winter season coaching in Venice, FL and offers clinics in Maryland, Colorado, and New York.
